Here’s a list of standard FREE tools that I’ve been known to use for different things:
Graphics Viewer: InfranView
One of the best image tools out there for Windows. Infranview is a small quick program that will allow you to view just about any image file format out on the net. you can quickly and easily convert to and from those files. Infranview also includes a way to batch process images, crop, rotate, and other minor image corrections.
System Information: PC Wizard
Ever needed to know/remember what sound card you have? or the type of RAM in the computer, but didn’t want to open the box to find out? PC Wizard is one of the best freeware programs out there to list out all your hardware: DL: [PC Wizard]
Blogging Software:
[Live Writer] is one of the BEST free Blogging tools you can get. Not only does it support most of the main blogging websites out there (like our own WordPress here) but there is plug-in support and the ability to write your own using the .NET frameworlk. Great tool.
DEFRAG:
The [JK Defrag] is a great program, it defrags your drive when you screen saver kicks in. So acting like your screen saver it will automatically defrag your harddrive while you arn’t using the computer! Sweet!
